Hello to all South Peace Members,
The riding season is upon us. I am sure that all riders are busy conditioning and prettying their horses for the summer activities.
A word to the wise :
Never expect your horse or yourself to perform without first exercising and conditioning for the discipline that you will be participating in. Trying to take shortcuts can result in injuries for both parties and as our riding season is so short, any delay of riding could be detrimental :-(
For those people interested in refreshing their riding skills check out our website for some exciting upcoming clinics. Clinics
For those members interested in doing some showing this summer the club will be hosting a dressage show in June as well as an open show in July. Prize lists and entry forms can be found on the website.
If anyone is interested in reining there will be a 2 day show held by the Reining Alberta Peace Country Branch in Fairview at the NAIT campus this weekend. Check out this link for more information and other upcoming shows and clinics.

The club would like to organize a poker ride this fall. If there is anyone interested in heading up this endeavor or would like to volunteer to help please contact Lori Sargent @ 402-9356
